Our competitors are anything but when it comes to food safety. Schreiber hosted several other dairy companies at the Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy’s Dairy Plant Food Safety Workshop at our home office in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
“We were proud to host this event and demonstrate our leadership of food safety in the industry,” said Staci Richardson, Senior Vice President, Enterprise Quality & Food Safety. “We received very positive feedback from attendees.”
The course helped dairy processing facilities improve pathogen control practices including PEM, sanitation and sanitary design. Forty-two students from 12 organizations attended the interactive session. Participants had an opportunity to practice evaluating equipment, swabbing techniques, developing pathogen environmental monitoring plans, and developing sanitation standard operating procedures.
“We had the pleasure of hearing from Ron Dunford, who did an amazing job talking about the importance of food safety to the dairy industry and Schreiber Foods,” said Chad Galer, Vice President of Product Research and Food Safety at Dairy Management Inc. “He specifically called out how working together with the Innovation Center for US Dairy and the Food Safety Committee is very important to Schreiber to help make the dairy industry stronger.”
